As you may or may not have been able to work out by now, Resource Hacker is a small application that can be downloaded for free, with which you can personalize runnable programs (with any of the following extensions: EXE, COM, DLL, OCX, and more), modifying and adding elements to make them seem like they were designed by you.

Among the factors you can "touch up" with Resource Hacker you can modify the program icon, the images, animations, dialogue box text, menus, etc; all with the unique aim of adapting them to your tastes or needs. Or if you like, just to annoy your friends.

Also, with Resource Hacker at all times you have a preview function, to see how it will turn out when finished.
